Contract: 18 Month Contract

CAFOD is one of the UK’s leading relief and development agencies. We work with local partner organisations in developing countries to achieve our common goals of reducing poverty, enhancing dignity and making local and global structures more just.

We are looking for a Policy Researcher to carry out research and analysis on mining issues to underpin our Unearth Justice campaign. Working closely with international, media and campaigns staff, you will be part of an organisation with an impressive record of advocacy on debt, trade, poverty reduction and ethical business issues.

You have a background in research or policy work on overseas development in the non-profit, government or private sectors. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of development and an understanding of campaigning are essential. You have excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with an ability to work with others and contribute to the development of multi-disciplinary advocacy strategies. Fluency in French is essential.

The post is based in London and will require some overseas travel.
